AI Engineering Manager · Applied Math PhD · Builder of Real-World LLM Systems
About
I’m an AI Engineering Manager at Marex, building production machine learning and LLM systems for financial markets.
I hold a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Manchester (supervised by Prof. Nicholas Higham) and spent time as a visiting researcher at MIT CSAIL, working on numerical linear algebra and time-dependent networks.
Writing
I write clear, opinionated notes on:
- Shipping LLM systems in production
- Managing AI teams under real constraints
- Mental models for clearer thinking across economics, psychology, mathematics, and logic
Short thoughts on X. Deeper, original writing on Substack. If you care about practical AI over hype, you’ll probably enjoy it.
You can also explore an interactive knowledge graph showing how these mental models connect.
